About Ian

Ian grew up in the coal towns of eastern Pennsylvania, where tight‑knit communities and worn ballfields shaped the way he sees the world. Those roots fuel the characters and stories he writes today.

He studied history and philosophy at Bloomsburg University, drawn to the way people’s lives become stories worth telling. After more than a decade teaching in K–12 schools, he earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership and now works with medical students, helping them explore the human side of care through narrative and the social sciences.

Whether in the classroom or on the page, Ian’s work centers on one belief: stories connect us. And he’s committed to writing the ones that feel true.
